This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all services offered by Young Grandmasters Chess Academy Pvt Ltd (“YGCA”, “we”, “our”, “us”), including online coaching, offline coaching, group batches, 1:1 personal training, demo classes, and school partnership programs.

By enrolling in any YGCA program, you agree to the terms outlined below.

1. GENERAL POLICY
  • All fees paid to YGCA are non-refundable once enrollment is confirmed.
  • Enrollment is considered confirmed once:
    • Payment is received (partial or full), and
    • Class access, schedule, or demo booking is shared.

This policy helps us plan coaching schedules, allocate coaches, and reserve limited batch seats.

2. CANCELLATION BY STUDENT / PARENT
  • Cancellations requested after payment will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Missed classes due to personal reasons (travel, illness, school events, etc.) are not refundable.
  • Make-up classes may be offered at YGCA’s discretion, subject to availability.
3. DEMO CLASSES
  • Free demo classes are provided as a trial experience and only once.
  • No refunds or compensation apply for demo sessions.
  • YGCA reserves the right to limit demo class availability per student.
4. 1:1 PERSONAL COACHING
  • 1:1 coaching packages are non-refundable once started.
  • Scheduling changes must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Missed 1:1 sessions without prior notice may be marked as completed.
5. OFFLINE CLASSES & SCHOOL PROGRAMS
  • Fees paid for offline classes or school partnerships are non-refundable.
  • Changes due to school holidays, examinations, or unforeseen events may result in:
    • Rescheduling, or
    • Adjusted session timelines (without fee reduction).
6. EXCEPTION — EUROPEAN UNION (14-DAY RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL)

For users located in the European Union (EU):

  • You have the right to withdraw from a paid online service within 14 days of payment without providing a reason, provided that:
    • The coaching services have not started, and
    • No classes, sessions, or demo access have been delivered.

Important:

  • If the service has already started (class attended, materials shared, demo completed), the right of withdrawal no longer applies, as permitted under EU consumer law for digital and educational services.

To request withdrawal within the 14-day period, please contact us at:

In such cases, YGCA may offer:

  • A rescheduled session, or
  • Credit toward future classes
  • A partial or full refund only at YGCA’s discretion
8. PAYMENT DISPUTES & CHARGEBACKS
  • Unauthorized chargebacks without contacting YGCA may result in suspension of services.
  • We encourage parents and students to contact us directly to resolve concerns amicably.
